English Translation:
“The Original Sound of the Soul” is a musical journey in search of the voice of truth within. From the lyrical intimacy of European Romanticism to the meditative resonance of Eastern poetry, this program bridges cultures and eras, illuminating the shared emotions that unite all human experience.
The concert opens with Brahms’s Auf dem Kirchhof, a quiet meditation on life and mortality, followed by Dvořák’s Songs My Mother Taught Me, a tender evocation of memory and love. French mélodies by Hahn unfold with delicate hues of nostalgia and grace, leading into operatic arias by Verdi, Leoncavallo, Wagner, and Torroba—each revealing a facet of passion, destiny, and humanity.
In the final return to the East, the ancient Song of Yue People and the Mongolian folk song Swan Goose echo the call of home and nature, while Il balen del suo sorriso closes the evening in lyrical radiance.
This concert is more than a performance—it is an inward journey, where music becomes the voice of the soul itself.
